Born in 1972 Sydney. One of seven children encouraged to draw and embrace art from an early age. I have been exhibiting my work since I was a teenager. As a young adult I studied painting at Meadowbank TAFE which really opened up creative possibilities for me. I have always used art as a means of escape.
I hope to convey a sense of sacredness in the everyday experience. My images are layered objects. Thoughts and memories of the everyday, to worlds imagined. Loaded with symbols both personal and universal. Images both abstract and figurative are explored through drawing, collage and painting.
I now live in Denistone with my wife and three children and continue the Watson tradition of seeing the world through the artist’s eye.
